This event led to the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
