The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.

The comedian

Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
